The Madison Venue

The Madison Venue is a historic venue in downtown Ogden, UT.  Inside the Old Ogden Post Office, the venue is rich with history and quality construction. It was built from 1905-1909, when it became one of Utah’s first Federal Buildings. Our venue features the oldest running elevator in Utah and one of the oldest in the world! It is a highlight for photos and for guests to ride in. Our Ballroom was once the Court Room and has such regal elegance! It boasts tall original windows, sweeping drapery, and large, magnificent chandeliers. The Madison Venue truly has unmatched elegance perfect for your special day!

We offer free tables, chairs, linens (ivory) and some decor! We will take care of event prep and clean-up, so you are free to enjoy your day and feel like royalty! See our FAQ for more information!

Pricing for Venue:

All packages include use of Bridal Suite/Groom’s Room, prep kitchen, tables, chairs, linens, wedding arch, and available decor.

  • Classic- Ballroom, $2800
    • 6 hour time-block (including set up and take down)
    • Up to 150 ceremony seating, 120 with tables, 200 total capacity
  • Elegant – Ballroom & Atrium, $3400
    • 6 hour time-block (including set up and take down)
    • Up to 150 seats, 374 total capacity
  • Premium – Ballroom & Atrium, $4200
    • 8 hour time-block (including set up and take down)
    • Up to 150 seats, 374 total capacity
  • Platinum Wedding Experience – $6000
    • Full Venue, Full Day (Up to 10 hours)
    • Day of Coordination included
    • Courtesy dress rehearsal included
    • Decor set up included
    • Choice of courtesy bubble or ribbon send off
  • Micro Wedding Package- Atrium or Ballroom, $1600
    • 4 hour time-block (including set up and take down)
    • Perfect for intimate parties of up to 40 guests (5 round tables)
    • One room, one set-up, no transition. Combo ceremony/reception set up available.
    • Available weekdays any time, or Fri/Sat (between 9 am-2 pm)
    • For $600 more, upgrade to our Intimate package: up to 64 guests and either a ballroom ceremony/atrium reception, or separate ceremony and reception set-ups in one room
  • A La Carte Pricing (2 hr minimum)
    • Ballroom: $600/hour
    • Atrium: $500/hour
    • Ballroom/Atrium Duo: $800/hour
    • Add time to any package: $500/hour
    • Priority on prime wedding nights will go to packages of 5 or more hours

See capacity limits here.  Hours includes setup/decorating and run time of your event.  A 50% down payment is due when you book your event.  The other 50% can be paid at your convenience but must be made at least 30 days prior to your event.

Standard Rentals Include

  • Large round tables (5 ft size) and ivory colored linens for those tables (15)
  • Long rectangular tables (6 ft. size) and black or ivory linens (10)
  • Chiavari Chairs (150)
  • 6 cocktail tables (Can be used for guest sign-in, cake, etc)
  • 4 large easels for signage, portraits, paintings, blankets, etc
  • Flat Screen TV with DVD or USB player or HDMI input.  55″ and 32″ sizes
  • Bridal Suite
  • Groom’s Room
  • Wireless Microphone with Stand and 1 Speaker per room
  • Full use of Prep Kitchen Area (See Bottom of Page for Details)
  • 4 Water/Juice Dispensers
  • Free Decor (See Bottom of Page for Details)
